{"id":1522,"date":"2010-10-17T08:05:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-16T23:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kiyoshikurokawa.com\/en\/2010\/10\/17\/speech-on-healthcare-policy\/"},"modified":"2014-10-01T09:47:01","modified_gmt":"2014-10-01T00:47:01","slug":"speech-on-healthcare-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kiyoshikurokawa.com\/en\/2010\/10\/speech-on-healthcare-policy.html","title":{"rendered":"Speech on Healthcare Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kiyoshikurokawa.com\/en\/jp\/2010\/10\/%E5%81%A5%E5%BA%B7%E5%8C%BB%E7%99%82%E6%94%BF%E7%AD%96%E3%81%AE%E8%A9%B1.html\" target=\"_self\">\u2192Japanese<\/a><\/p>\n<p>My reports are somewhat delayed than usual, but I have returned home on October14th from a slightly long travel which started on 5th.<\/p>\n<p>Next day in the morning, at the Denmark Embassy in Tokyo, I gave speech on \u2018Healthcare Policy for the Aging Society\u2019 to the audience of about 30 or so of legislators and other members of Denmark\u2019s delegate visiting Japan.&#160; I was told that&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/static.85broads.com\/broadcasts\/Japan_Chapter_The_Happiest_Country_on_Earth_Denmark.html\" target=\"_blank\">Ambassador Melbin <\/a>&#160;(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zejAqK1wQeM\" target=\"_blank\">Ref.1<\/a>) and the audience enjoyed my speech.&#160; (by the way, around April or so, I went to see the Ambassador to talk about the World Cup; and, of course, the Japan-Denmark match\u2026.)&#160; <a href=\"https:\/\/kiyoshikurokawa.com\/en\/jp\/2010\/10\/swedish-hospital-100%E5%91%A8%E5%B9%B4%E7%BE%8E%E3%81%97%E3%81%84%E8%A1%97seattle.html\" target=\"_self\">The discussions in Seattle <\/a>turned out to be very helpful in preparing my speech.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving the Denmark Embassy, I headed to Haneda airport to fly to Matsuyama.&#160; The Panasonic Shikoku in Matsuyama is focusing on healthcare and they asked me to speak on topics on \u2018Healthcare Policy for the Aging Society\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>I was being so focused on this theme for these days, so I was able to learn much from these events, and also was able to develop new ideas.<br \/>&#160;<br \/>Developed countries share common challenges; \u20181. Continuing growth of the aging society, 2. Chronic diseases as a major disease burden, and 3.
